Hindering or Overcoming

In your opinion, is technology helping or hindering when it comes overcoming communication barriers in health care?

In my opinion, I believe that technology is advancing the way we overcome communication barriers. In many ways, we are able to communicate with people through the translation of other languages using technology. There are various ways we can communicate through technology such as an electronic hand held translator. Nurses could use this for clients that know very little English, and they could easily type it down on the translator and show it to the client.
